  • 12/16/08: HPC Phase III cluster powered on
    • Today around noon, after many delays and complications overcome, the work to prepare Larsen 121 as a machine room was blessed by inspectors. Power and cooling were turned on to feed the 112 nodes and 896 cores of the new cluster in the UF HPC center and they were powered up. Now we can start the process of configuration of nodes and networks and then test the new systems. We hope to make the new computing capability available to users in the second week of January, 2009.
  • Dec 2008: PROTON Newsletter
    • The UF HPC Center has been features in the December 2008 edition of PROTON!
  • 10/28/08: RAID Inc. Case Study
    • A case study has been published by RAID Inc. concerning the CRN Storage system that has been created at the UF HPC Center. More can be read at the RAID Inc. Website.
  • 07/31/08: Revamped statistics engine
    • We have revamped the statistics backend for the website, which meant rewriting a number of pages to take advantage of the new database for the statistics. As such, there may be a number of pages out there that no longer function properly. If you notice this, please let the HPC support team know and we will fix it as soon as possible.
